Durga Puja is not just a festival. It's a 5-day cultural phenomenon — the world's largest open-air art installation, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and for Bengalis everywhere, the centre of the universe for approximately 120 hours every October.

Shashthi to Bijoya Dashami. Pandal hopping from noon until 3am. Phuchka every hour. Mishti doi after the prasad. Competing to spot the best thematic pandal before it goes viral.

And then there's the transport. The cabs. The spontaneous food stops. The dhunuchi someone bought for everyone. The contribution to the Kumartuli pandal that the whole group decided to make on impulse.

The Kolkata Pujo Transport Problem
